Today’s thought of the day is going to be about the alkaline diet and what it can do for your health.

You may not know it, but the majority of the food you eat every day is acidic. Cheeses, meat, coffee, all affect your body negatively, as they are acidic and the body is alkaline.

The alkaline diet has been said to even cure AIDS, read on to find out how.

What is the alkaline diet?

The alkaline diet is a form of meat and dairy-free lifestyle with alkaline fruits, vegetables and other alkaline plant-based whole foods. Now remember science, acidic is below pH 7 and alkaline is above it. Read more about alkaline foods here

The issue with acidic foods is that it unbalances your body’s pH, leading to disease. It’s a fact that cancer couldn’t even exist in an alkaline environment as the tumor cells rely on acidic conditions to survive.

The alkaline diet, if you choose to try it out, it would be both vegan and even more specific with what you eat. You also need to make sure you don’t eat the following vegan, yet acidic foods, such as: Peanuts, walnuts, blackberries, cranberries, normal tea (to name a few).

Another thing you need to make sure you know if you were to start the alkaline diet is the water you drink, make sure it’s over pH 7, you should see that on your water bottle.

If you try the alkaline diet it is said to make you both feel and look healthier, and over time it has been said to cure illnesses such as AIDS.

So in basic terms, the body is electric, and the reason we need alkaline foods is the same reason why batteries are alkaline, because it conducts the electricity.

When your body is running the way it really should be you should also be more immune, as alkalising your body not only makes you feel more energetic, it improves your overall immunity to illnesses, you’ve just got to sacrifice eating meat and dairy, and then some.

What’s the point of this post?

So, why did I think of this post? Because firstly, when I first heard of the alkaline diet it changed my view on what I eat ever since, and secondly, if you or someone around you has any illness that runs in the family make sure you know how to prevent it if worse came to worse.

I was more aware of what I was eating as soon as I heard your diet could prevent cancer and other diseases, hopefully I get at least one of you to think deeper too.

I think it’s mad that once you learn something new about something you eat everyday it can always end up with you making a few changes, if anything, for the better.

It’s important to know these things when there’s people paying thousands for treatments that don’t cure illnesses, when with a focused life change, you can cure it for yourself.
